Fees
Standard accreditation fees are based on the forecast number of certificates to be issued over the two-year licence period.
For SMEs, there is a fixed up front fee, with testing/certification charges levied on a per unit basis when they occur.
For Standard accreditation, there are six fee bands, ranging from Band A, (up to 200 1b and higher certificates) to Band F (2,000 1b and higher certificates) issued over a two year period. See the table below.
Note that with each band you get an allocation of Level 1a certificates equivalent to the number of Level 1b and higher chosen. For example, if you select Band A, your 2 year certificate allocation will be 200 Level 1b and higher plus 200 Level 1a certificates.

Key points about fees
For Standard Accreditation
- The fee covers the two year accreditation period
- You can change your fee band at any point, with a pro rata charge applicable
- If you require additional Level 1a certificates, these can be purchased on a per unit basis (£3.00 / €3.60 for the first 2,500)
- Additional Level 1a certificates purchased can be carried over to the next accreditation period
- The re-accreditation fee is 15% lower than first time accreditation fee.
For SME Accreditation
- The fee covers the two year accreditation period
- You can upgrade to Standard Accreditation at any point, with a pro rata fee applicable
- The first time SME accreditation fee is £2,500 / €3,000 (plus VAT)
- The fee charge per assessment/certificate issued is £95.00 / €115.00 (plus VAT)
- The re-accreditation fees is 15% lower than first time accreditation fee,

For start-ups or smaller consultants with a CI training capability for their clients’ staff or the general public.
For larger consultants with a CI training capability for their own staff, their clients’ staff or for the general public.
The consultant delivers training aligned to the LCS framework, though does not administer knowledge tests.
