Biography

I have the knowledge and wide experience in running business process improvement initiatives in public sector organisations. My primary focus is on Lean, Lean Six Sigma and Systems Thinking methodologies. In addition, I am experienced in implementing changes with IT / Digital projects, using technology and data to design more effective and efficient services. I am, and have been, involved in major national and regional public sector initiatives, which have become common practice across organisations: the National Land and Property Gazetteer, Mapping Services Agreement, Government Connects, and eGovernment Priority Outcomes. I have expertise in: process improvement, organisational development, project management, continuous improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, Systems Thinking, digital technologies in local government. I am a member of the British Standards Institution committee for statistical process improvements; the Chair of the Continuous Improvement Exchange Forum (Midlands); and the key facilitator of the LGA Knowledge Hub network for Lean Six Sigma.
